Overview
I love mathematics in all its different forms – abstract and applied. I have described my engagement with math here.
I’ve also been fascinated by how the world works around me. To understand its physical nature, I have performed science experiments at home and engaged in engineering research with mentors. Some of these experiences are detailed here.
As I engaged in my exploration of math and science, I discovered what an invaluable tool programming can be. So I have picked up various aspects of programming (algorithms, optimization, machine learning) that I have extensively used as an aid in my experiments.
I share my enthusiasm for these subjects through my high school’s Math Club and Programming Clubs. As an officer of these clubs, I have shared ideas that I have learned outside of the school curriculum and found very interesting with my fellow club members through presentations.
My go-to sport for unwinding and fun for the past several years has been badminton. I started playing with my parents and sister in our backyard and train nowadays at the Bay Badminton Center. I also dabble with creating music with GarageBand.
